On August 04–05, 2021, the PFM Coordination Unit held a two-day training workshop on Leadership, Change Management, and Performance Management for the Ministry of Finance Development’s Department Directors and other senior officials from the Office of the Auditor General of the State.
The training is designed to provide participants with crucial leadership skills as well as practical methodologies and processes for conducting performance management for employees in their particular departments within the Ministry of Finance Development and the Office of the Auditor-General. The training program will assist Directors in recognizing their role and managing staff performance effectively, as well as improving their abilities in defining clear expectations and objectively monitoring individual performance utilizing objectives and competencies as important measures.
Similarly, the training emphasizes leadership for change management as a structured approach to ensuring transitioning individuals and teams impacted by reform efforts, as well as confirming timely communication about change so that employees are aware of and ready to adopt and support the changes introduced.
The PFM strives for maximum efficiency, openness, and accountability in the allocation, management, and use of public funds in order to meet the priorities of the National Development Plan II and accelerate economic growth.
