The #PFM reform Coordination Department in collaboration with the Office of the Auditor General has organized a two-day training on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on June 20 – 21, 2020.
The training aims to equip key staff of financial management institutions with the practical skills of using IPSAS and IFRS in their respective roles within the Government of Somaliland.
SAS are a set of accounting standards issued by the IPSAS Board for use by public sector entities in the preparation of financial statements. These standards are based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
IPSAS aims to improve the quality of financial reporting by public sector institutions, leading to better informed assessments of the resource allocation decisions made by the government of Somaliland, thereby increasing transparency and accountability in the use and management of public finances.
The PFM strives to achieve the highest possible efficiency, transparency and accountability in the allocation, management and use of public finances to meet the national development Plan priorities and stimulate economic growth.
